Ep239 – We close out Chinese New Year week with another (reasonably) healthy take on a classically unhealthy fried dish – honey walnut shrimp. Normally these crispy shrimp are cooked in hot oil, but in the spirit of Sam’s ‘never-fry-anything-because-its-too-damn-smelly’ mantra, we decided we’d rather throw them into a pan for just a little color.  Simple and of course, delicious.  Here’s the recipe.

Longevity Noodles

Ep238 – It’s another installment of Chinese New Year week and we bring you an interesting recipe called Longevity Noodles. These are essentially long noodles with an assortment of vegetables and flavors that all come together in a warm bowl of goodness.

Ep237 – It’s Chinese New Year week and we’re starting with a couple of our favorites from past shows. Enjoy this semi ‘best of’ episode and get ready for new recipes to celebrate the new year later on this week.

Ep236 – We conclude the world tour amazingness of breakfast week with BFR.  After taking a trip to the fluffy pancake canyons of Germany and stopping off in Mexico for some huevos grandes, our final destination is East Asia for this breakfast version of Sam’s fridge fried rice.

Huevos Rancheros

Ep235 – Breakfast week continues with this healthy take on the amazing Mexican breakfast item huevos rancheros. Rather than frying the tortillas and using refried beans (which are less healthy than the black beans we use here) makes this vegetarian item perfect for anybody. Don’t forget to leave the yolk runny!
