All those movies you saw growing up where the cooked whole pig had an apple in its mouth? That was for a reason – apple and pork go together beautifully. We close out this week of all things Apple as Sam serves up this perfectly grilled piece of pork, made even better by the apple salsa served on top. The perfect fall dinner recipe.

Had to stop the pork and apple salsa 1/4 the way in and editorialize. I can’t stand the comments made by your camera man (hope he isn’t family). He talks just to talk and it’s obvious. Just like people I hate at work. I can’t tell them to just shut up so I guess I’m venting here. SHUUUUTTTT UUUUPPPPP.

Love the scallops from earlier this week. Hope your trip went well. Love 98% of your show.

Dave Skillin. (Hate people that don’t use there real names and don’t take responsibility for what they right)

Love the honesty Dave but I have to disagree with you here. Max is family (eldest son, to address your aside) and he is an invaluable part of the show. His comments often offer a fresh perspective on food that Sam and I both miss. Just like at work, everyone is (and should be) encouraged to have their say, no matter how liked or disliked they are.

However, you’re right, signing your name is a man’s move and I couldn’t agree with you more there. I hope everyone who puts their two cents out on the internet can follow your example.

Shut up Dave. Watch something else if you can’t appreciate Sam’s family and crew. I love every segment I find. It’s always entertaining and I feel like I’m in my brother’s kitchen. Love it!!
